  Yes sir, this is where the locals go. You found it-and yes it's in a gas station. Umm-our burritos nearly killed us because they were so good. Super tasty salsas and green chili. Everyone from the sheriff to business people, to working folk to outsiders (like us) to cowboys- are all eating together. It was a very cool experience. And they said America can't come together. Apparently at El Cupidos they can!
  PS There is actual seating inside and outside.

  The food quality & taste has seemed to decline over time. They are one of the few restaurants in the valley, so there's not much competition - I'm assuming that's why the local restaurants don't really find a need to provide good service or provide really good food?
  
  The girl at the register wasn't very friendly. I actually felt a bit uncomfortable ordering, like we were inconveniencing her by being there. She has been there the last two times we visited. I guess good help is hard to find in a place where there aren't many people to choose from? I am a FIRM believer that you shouldn't be in a customer service position if you have zero people skills or zero ambition to at least try. Apparently the restaurant owners or manager don't mind having employees who are there to just punch the clock and take home a check with no care in the between?
  
  Anyhow, it's decent enough to return to if we are traveling through the area and need a quick warm meal but don't expect more than a mediocre meal and an unwelcoming employee.

  i live here and the place has raised their prices in an unreasonable and unconscionable way.   ie if you order a taco... they charge you for frying it in addition to the price of the original taco. they use the same oil for every taco they fry so it is not a reasonable charge. in the last 3 months they have continually raised their prices and and a charge to use a debt card or cc....they seem to charge more ever time i go there. this was the last straw i won't eat there ....some of the people i know dont recieve the orders they paid for......gone down hill to the point that i am making this negitive review....
  
  the only other place in town that ok food is sub way and now the are at $10 per sandwich.     the other mexican restaurant is disgraceful...they get things out of cans an heat them ...horrible

  Very sad, that I can't eat here anymore.  This was always my first choice when in St. John's, but no more.  There is a newer female employee there now, who is very nice, but lacks basic hygiene.  Watching her, on more than one occasion, wipe her nose with her hand then go cook or handle money at the register then touch food, is not appetizing at all. It's how disease as well as foodborne illness is spread.

  This is the best restaurant in town. They have great burritos, burgers and wings on Fridays.
  
  I usually get the Chile relleno which is my favorite dish here.
  
  The staff are really nice. They are closed on Sunday's..
